20 years ago Boario was a major tourist destination.
Changes in the law and bad administration led to the loss of many hotels and image.
But the Fenice could rise again, thanks to a coalition between Terme di Boario, the European Parkinson Therapy Center and the new local government.
WHAT TO DO IN BOARIO
Boario is a “pretty” town, just below the Moro lake and with its ancient bridge (Montecchio) in the historic center where there was a port before the canal was built and the river was much deeper.
Boario is centrally located to many of the attractions we suggest. There is a small shopping district and a few bars and restaurants.
The summer water park with 15 outdoor pools and slides is particularly popular in the summer especially with young people.
Terme di Boario also has an “aquatic” attraction with its thermal complex (SPA) and mud bathes.
Indeed the city itself is related to water in a very real way. Below Boario there are 4 fresh water springs.
In the Thermal Park, people still come today to drink its purifying waters, some of which have very specific therapeutic effects and to walk in it’s magnificant Park.
Stone Age man also makes an appearance in the nationally famous “Archeopark, an interactive mock Stone Age village that students and adults alike come to learn to “hunt “, make bread, light fires and draw on the rocks!
